To submit a song request, go to our website (www.RadioFreeAmericana.com). Click the "Playlist & Requests" link using the Navigation bar on the left side of the page. This will take you to the beginning of our "Playlist & Requests" web pages, where you can search our entire playlist. Note that songs are sequenced alphabetically by Artist first name (e.g., Kathleen Edwards is listed under "K"), and there is a separate page for each letter of the alphabet. (As you search for a song, please note that it may take awhile to pull up "Playlist & Requests" web pages because our playlist is huge; however, it's worth the wait.) Once you've found the track you want to hear, click the "Request" button beside the name of the track. Your request will be automatically placed in the queue. Please note that due to licensing laws and the need to be courteous to all of our listeners, (a) you will be limited to submitting 2 song requests per hour and 10 per day; and (b) your request may be denied if the artist, album or track has recently been played. When you click the "Request" button, a pop-up window will appear that will tell you if the request was accepted or failed. If it failed, it will give you a reason (e.g., "album recently played", etc.) On rare occasions, we may disable the electronic request feature described above for maintenance or related purposes, and will attempt to notify you on our LoudCity page forum, in which case we will try to accommodate your requests via email directed to the DJ on duty. However, promptness in fulfilling email requests cannot always be guaranteed as we are not available to read email on a 24x7 basis.
